Business storytelling is an essential tool to help set you apart from all other products and services on the market. And, I’m often asked (and there is never a wrong question) about business storytelling examples.
Sometimes the best way to learn is to draw inspiration from others. So in this post, we’re making that happen.
Business Storytelling Examples Used in a Highly Effective Way!
Example 1: Levi’s Jeans – 50-year story
Levi’s wants you to know their jeans are built to last.
They don’t just tell you – they show you – by demonstrating how one pair of jeans can last for decades among multiple users, even transcending changing fashion trends.
Levi’s takes you on a journey as both the buyer and the product; how creative!

Example 2: Dove, “Reverse Selfie”
In the age of social media, many people feel they need to distort how they look online to fit society’s definition of beauty.
In their “Reverse Selfie” campaign, Dove addresses this critical issue and how it can affect teen girls while simultaneously demonstrating what the brand believes; the definition of beauty needs to be re-written

Example 3: Volvo Trucks – “The Epic Split”
To demonstrate the precision and directional stability of the Volvo steering system, the company put their machines to the ultimate test – the split test – which required Jean Claude Van Damme to do the splits between two reversing trucks!
This is an excellent example of creating something memorable for watchers while also demonstrating their product’s high-class features.

Example 4: Burt’s Bees – “Consciously Made”
Burt’s Bees shows viewers how products can fit into their lifestyle, demonstrates the ethics behind their products’ sourcing, and brings in images of natural ingredients to help viewers better connect with the brand.
These are just a few examples, but hopefully, you get the idea! I’m sure many other inspirational examples of business storytelling may come to mind.

Of course, you don’t always have to use video for your stories to make an impression on your audience. Written storytelling guided by precise formulas and shared in an engaging, entertaining way can be equally alluring and memorable.
So, take a moment to reflect:
→ What is the purpose behind your brand/company?
→ Is there a feature, product, or service are you most excited about sharing?
→ What makes your offering relatable? Memorable?
And then start using storytelling to share what you do!
