Have you ever noticed how some businesses seem to explode out of nowhere? One day, you have no idea who they are and the next, they are everywhere. Sometimes such businesses are flukes or one-hit-wonders, but more often than not, it was planned, calculated, and they were exactly where you were one to two years ago. So, how did they do it? There are a multitude of factors, however, these five ways to make publicity work for you, will get you five steps closer.

  1. Publicity Influences your One-on-One Clients

Your one-on-one clients hold so much value. Their publicity has instant credibility and they justify your prices. They may have listened to you in an in-depth interview and they feel deeply connected. When they reach out to you, there is no audition or song and dance, they already want YOU for you. You are not among a list of a dozen people that they are considering. They have already chosen you. They are reaching out to you because they already value you.

  1. Publicity Brings in the Right Leads

For those that have already heard your interview with a host that they trust, or they’ve read your guest post on a website with only high-quality content, you’ve already earned instant credibility. These clients are far more likely to become your buyers. Publicity allows you to maximize on clients who are already listening to you and value what you have to say.

  1. Publicity Considers Those Who Are “On the Fence”

See, it will help to push those that have been considering your business, to pull the trigger. They may already be thinking about you or waiting for a sign to commit, and publicity is it. When they hear that interview or read that guest post and they have already been following you online, it solidifies what they already have to come to like about you. It is a sign for them to consider you more seriously or to act now. Publicity helps to boost your launches and gets people to buy.

  1. Publicity Opens the Door to Bigger Opportunities

For you, this could be a variety of things. It could be a paid speaking gig, a lucrative book deal, a brand partnership, or a justification for corporations to pay you 10-20k to speak to their audience. The opportunities are endless, and it is the publicity that will get you there.

  1. Publicity Creates a Snowball Effect

Once you land your first few media hits, it becomes far easier for you to land more opportunities for you to grow your business exponentially. If you are looking to do exactly that, then I want you to watch my friend and mentor, Selena Soo’s, Impacting Millions® Video Series. Her Impacting Millions course was what helped me to become a Huffington Post Contributor and secure many guest post opportunities – most recently, my Forbes submission (I shared this process with my subscribers – you want to check that out).

In these videos, Selena gives you all the steps you need to get started. You will also get websites, podcasts, magazines, and more to comb through and add to your wish list. I’d definitely recommend checking the video series out now and start stepping into bigger possibilities.
