AĀ book coachĀ can bring so much value to your book-writing journey, no matter where you are in the process of getting your story to life.So, how do you know if you are ready to hire a book coach?

Signs You are Ready to Hire a Book Coach

Your readiness to hire a book coach will be unique to you.

It will depend on budget, time constraints, motivation, and personal goals and aspirations. However, there are always telltale signs that you need support, andĀ a book coach may be your missing link.

#1: You know you want to write a book but aren’t sure where to get started

You may already have aĀ devoted audienceĀ and have taken the time to niche down. You know a book is the next step in your journey, but you need to know where to start.Ā

A book coach can save you time and hassle, especially in the beginning stages of your journey. They can help you refine your ideal audience, create an outline for your book, and offer tips and tricks for your writing journey.

Depending on your budget, you may hire a book coach to support you from start to finish or work with them to get a running start and then continue on your own. Sometimes engaging with a book coach early on may be exactly what you need to kickstart your writing journey and set you up for success.

#2: You are stuck in the writing process

Getting stuck is never fun, whether this is your first or tenth book. A book coach can help pull you out of the writer’s quicksand and get back on track with your book.Ā

A book coach can:

  • Help you identify what’s keeping you stuck (sometimes these could be your own limiting beliefs about the story you have to share);
  • Support you with idea generation;
  • Refine your outline if needed and ensure your book gets finished;
  • Keep you organized, motivated, and accountable.

#3: Your book deadline is approaching, and you aren’t nearly finished

This isn’t your first book-writing rodeo; however, you’ve found it exceptionally challenging to write/organize your ideas, and your target due date (whether it’s self-determined or at the hands of a publisher) is quickly approaching.

Don’t panic! A book coach can help you finish your book in record time. They can help you develop a reasonable, streamlined plan to get to the finish line and connect you with the right people to help support your writing journey, as needed. Personally, I’ve helped clients finish their manuscripts in just 120 days ā€“ yes, it is possible!

I’ve outlined just a few examples of how you can tell you’re ready to work with a book coach, but if you are feeling the call to get some support on your book-writing journey, it never hurts to explore this option.

If you are ready to streamline your book-writing journey or are looking to get unstuck, I would love to help you share your story!Ā
