My Story
I used to want a good education, job and family – in that order.
Who didn’t? It was the 80’s, and I didn’t know any different then.
Curve ball: I became a young mother. Out of necessity, and with family support and a great mentor, I began working in the court system to support my son, while earning a social work diploma in the evenings.
This access to real people’s stories sparked my passion for helping others use their voices to make an impact.
In my mid-thirties, unexpected medical challenges forced me to examine where my career was going. My passion for storytelling and a desire to help people amplify their voices allowed me to walk away from 15 years in social work to pursue my dream of writing. Sure, I was apprehensive, but my professional experience had taught me that this test would lead to my testimony.
Now, I’ve been privileged to write more than a dozen books, thousands of blogs, emails, and social media content for CEOs, entrepreneurs and influencers, globally. Just like yours, my own story is still being written.
